Option 1

Preparing RE-SUS concentrate

Fill bottle to neck using drinking quality or cooled boiled water. Shake gently to dissolve RE-SUS powder. This concentrate may be stored in the original sealed container in a refrigerator (below 8°C) for up to one month. Gently shake prior to re-opening.

Diluting RE-SUS concentrate for use:

Warm to body temperature prior to use by diluting RE-SUS concentrate with an equal volume of luke-warm (NOT BOILING) water

Option 2

Add one level capful of loose powder to 125mL of warm water and mix.  Resus is ready to use.

Piglets should be given their first 15-25mL of Re-sus by bottle or tube feeding as soon as possible after birth.

A further 75mL of diluted Re-sus should be given as supplementary feeds over the following 24-36 hours.

Care should be taken not to overdose piglets that may have recently suckled as inhalation can occur.
