640 Doser

640 Select Auto Doser

This format of doser allows for pumping of product at a specific rate. For example, if a waterline has a known flow rate as from a ground water pump, it may be possible to determine the rate at which the Select doser adds product to the line. No flow sensor is needed in this case.

Product Description

Select-640 Doser – Auto doser

This heavy-duty intelligent doser is basically a computer controlled peristaltic pump. Depending on how it is programmed it can be a proportional doser adding products such as disinfectants, vaccines, medications or vitamins to water flows. It can also be a single shot doser dispensing specific quantities of liquids as required.

If you need a product to be dosed at a rate of x ml/hr, the Select-640 can be programmed as an AutoDoser.

However, if you want to pump a specific amount (1 litre, 120ml etc.) you need the Select-640 SSD (Single Shot Doser).

Precision Water Management

Using a computer programmed peristaltic pump, the Select Doser compresses a soft tube to move solutions into watering systems.

It accurately and uniformly administers the programmed dose.

A series of simple on-screen menu commands allow the operator to set the dose rate and timing of the pump. The standard range is between 1:20 (5%) and 1:40,000 (0.0025%) in 15 stages covering all of the normal dosing ratios. A single pump tube size is used for all dosing ratios. Additional tube sizes can be uses for specialist applications. The correct tube to used is indicated onscreen.
Key Features

  • Select Doser performance yields highly accurate dosages all the time.
  • Accuracy is 95+ percent, superior to more variable water or electric pumps that can wear out, especially if dispensing aggressive materials.
  • Precise dosing results in fewer health problems and faster gains in animal operations.
  • Long lasting with minimal maintenance required. Unclipping the used tube and inserting a new one effectively renews the pump.
  • Easy to use: Intuitive controls make operation a breeze.
  • Durable construction: Built to last with high-quality materials.
  • Energy efficient: Designed to minimize energy consumption.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Q. How many ratios are possible?

Each Select doser is set up to receive signals from 7 flow sensors. Each of the sensors has 15 choices of ratio. These ratios can be anything from 1 : 20 to 1 : 1,000,000, although in practice the finest ratio used is 1 : 25,000 for hydrogen peroxide dosing.

    Q. How do I get rid of air locks?

This problem does not exist with the Select doser. The pump can move air as well as liquid. No more downtime using a syringe to suck out air locks!

    Q. Can I run the Select doser from a battery?

You can. This is particularly useful when the Select doser needs to be used in a field situation (pheasants, free range pigs etc.).

A 12V leisure battery charged from a solar panel is also perfectly possible.

    Q. Will the Select doser work connected to a water meter?

As long as we know how many pulses we get per litre (or gallon) we can connect to any water meter. We generally supply turbine flow sensors with our dosers as these are lighter for transport and are generally more accurate at low flows.

    Q. Why are there different tubes to use with the Select doser?

If we used one large pump tube for all dosing ratios, at very fine ratios and very low water flows it might be several minutes before the doser was able to turn to inject product. Although this would still be accurate overall, folks prefer to see the doser operating more frequently with a smaller tube fitted.

    Q. What if the ratio I want is not being offered on the screen?

Let us know. We can send you a new Eprom computer chip containing all of the normal ratios plus the one you need.
