Product Description

LEVAMISOLE – Soluble Powder (1kg)

For the control of levamisole susceptible gastrointestinal roundworms of domestic
poultry, pigeons, aviary pet birds in zoological collections. The most commonly
encountered worms include roundworms (Ascaridia spp.) hairworm (Capillaria spp.)
and caecal worm(Heterakis spp.).

Active Constituent: 850mg/g LEVAMISOLE (AS LEVAMISOLE HYDROCHLORIDE)

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Contraindications

Do not use in extremely hot weather. Not for use in species or strains of birds to
be sensitive to the effects of Levamisole, and not for use in birds that are feeding
young. Parrots appear to be less tolerant than pigeons to levamisole.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

28mg/kg live weight or as directed by a veterinary surgeon. As a guide,
assuming medicated water intake of 35mL/bird during the treatment period, use
800g LEVAMISOLE™ per 900-1000L drinking water, or 8g per 10L water for small
number of birds. The amount of solution prepared should be as much as will be
consumed in twelve hours. Remove other sources of medicated water.

WITHHOLDING PERIODS

EGGS: Zero (0) days.
MEAT: REMOVE ALL MEDICATED WATER 7 days before slaughter for
human consumption.

SAFETY DIRECTIONS

Poisonous if swallowed. Will irritate the eyes and skin. May irritate the nose and
throat. Repeated exposure may cause allergic disorders. Avoid contact with eyes
and skin. When opening the container and preparing product for use and mixing,
wear cotton overalls buttoned to the neck and wrist (or equivalent clothing) and
elbow-length PVC gloves, goggles or safety glasses and disposable dust mask
covering mouth and nose. If product on skin, immediately wash area with soap
and water. If product in eyes, wash it out immediately with water. After use and
before eating, drinking or smoking, wash hands, arms and face thoroughly with
soap and water. After each day’s use, wash gloves, goggles or safety glasses and
contaminated clothing.

DISPOSAL

Single-rinse or shake container into the medicated water. Do not dispose of
undiluted chemicals on-site. Puncture bag and deliver to an approved waste
management facility. If an approved waste management facility is not available,
bury the container 500mm below the surface in a disposal pit specifically marked
and set up for this purpose clear of waterways, vegetation and tree roots, in
compliance with relevant local, state or territory government regulations. Do not
burn empty containers or product.

STORAGE

Store below 30˚C (Room temperature) in a dry place. Protect from light. Keep
container tightly closed.
