TX
The TX Box is a new, multi-sensor farm data collection and alerts system available exclusively from Think Livestock. The TX can monitor a number of different variables around your farm and alert you when they breach your chosen specifications.
Key Features
- A low cost monitoring and alarm system designed for farm and other uses where both instant information and long-term data need to be collected.
- Can be linked up with any Select Doser to use its existing water flow information.
- Communicates by SMS over the 4G Phone Network.
- Can send Daily reports to up to 5 users detailing trends of water consumption (or other livestock data) over the last 4 days and the percentage change between days.
- Data can be routed via Think Livestock’s TX terminal to allow long-term graphing of data.
- Uses any standard Micro Sim (see here for example).
- 24 hour data transmitted on one SMS
- Access Online graphs of your data free from any device.
- Download your long-term Data in Excel format.
- Five channels as standard (1 x temperature, 2 x flow, 2 x switch).
- Six alarm settings per channel.
How it works.
- Connect the TX to sensors for the parameters you need to monitor (see some examples below).
- Insert A SIM card into the TX, connecting it to your preferred mobile network.
- Program your parameters into the machine (We can do this for you at no extra charge).
- You’ll immediately get an SMS alert if any of your parameters are outside of your chosen range.
- You’ll also get a Daily SMS report with hourly readings of the parameters you are monitoring (eg. water flow rates or temperature measurements).
- You can also graph your data by allocating one of the available contact numbers to Think Livestock’s TX Terminal.
Examples of Farm Data that you can monitor
- Water Consumption – Get early warning of drops in fluid intake; or alerts in the event of a burst pipe.
- Temperature – This could be the temperature inside a shed (at livestock level), or even on a vaccine fridge.
- pH monitoring – By connecting to a pH probe, the TX can alert you any time the pH of a liquid slips out of specification.
- Power failsafe – By allocating one of the switch channels to a battery backup, we can instantly alert you if the power is out at the location of the machine. Extremely useful on a main pump shed.
- Load Cells – TX can be used to keep track of changing weights of things like feed solos, with an alert generated when a threshold is reached such as when feed needs to be re-ordered.
- Switch function – TX can alert you of many situations in which a “on/off” contact could be applied. For example, an open or close gate with the appropriate set up.
