Zinc Sulphate Tester.

Zinc sulphate testers are used by sheep farmers to check the concentration level of zinc sulphate in sheep foot baths.

The product consists of a small glass tube with an enclosed weight to keep it standing upright in a liquid foot bath. The tube is marked by level indicators and can then be easily read to measure the level of concentration of zinc sulphate in the liquid.

Zinc 020 hydrometer provides an instant zinc sulphate measure.

• Allows the farmer to keep the Zinc Sulphate level as close as possible to the recommended 10% level.
• Maximizes the effectiveness of the foot bath treatment.
• Reduces the excess costs of wastage associate with overdosing the foot bath.

These specialised hydrometer can also indicate if solutions have become diluted. If the concentration of Zinc Sulphate in the foot bath drops to below 10%, the foot bath mixture is too dilute, and will no longer work as well as it should to achieve the aims of the intended foot treatment.

If used twice daily in foot baths these specialised hydrometer will reduce wastage in chemicals and control the footrot problem.
